![]() I understand you need to run a business, but the amount of harsh judgement and criticism is uncalled for. The lady owner herself is a demanding harsh cold unfeeling person. They're expected to always be at attention or cleaning something and talk is discouraged - more. The supervisors encourage them to ask questions, but *they* have not always had the proper training to deal with questions professionally and are sometimes outwardly critical or dismissive of a problem. It feels like there are some employees who never get to take their vacations because of how under staffed their departments are, but the opportunity is there.Ĭashiers are expected a high level of professionalism and customer service, especially for how little training they receive. Things like paid vacation are not allowed for the first full year, which seems a little silly when taking into consideration the physical demand of just about any customer service/retail related job, but they do offer paid vacation after that time period. There's a small employee discount, though you *must* remember to mention it to the cashiers because they method they apply it with is fairly new and easily overlooked. ![]() There is access to relatively affordable health insurance, dental, and vision. The benefits are good as a full time employee. Many part time employees have a schedule to work around, which is dealt with easily almost always. Most of the supervisors and managers are very kind and understanding, make afternoons fun, and are willing to work around your schedule if you voice a concern or complication in time for anything to be done about it. The store is beautiful and they're always looking for help, and they pay is fair to good for the work that is asked of you.
